Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ellie. I am a recent high school graduate and I plan to attend Johnson and Wales University in the Fall to major in Baking and Pastry Arts.
I thought of starting a blog/website that was food related about a year ago. However, I was not able to make it a reality because I couldn't come up with a good, catchy name that I really liked. It wasn't until around February that I thought "hey, The Literal Kitchen sounds pretty good and it represents me." I am an overly literal person, always have been, so that's where this idea stems from.
Now when it comes to food. Yes, I said I was going to school to major in baking and pastry, but I don't want this to be just that. I want this, being the kitchen not just the bakery, to be focused around all the dishes I make and share.
I hope this page will inspire you to do some cooking or baking. As so famously said in the Cartoon Network TV show Chowder: "You don't know what you're missing if you aren't in the kitchen."
